Why rotate a PDF?
Orientation problems are one of the most common annoyances in everyday PDFs. A desktop scanner feeds a page in landscape, a phone camera captures a receipt at an angle, or a colleague sends a document where half the pages are turned the wrong way. On screen you can tilt your head; on paper, a sideways print is close to useless. Rotating fixes the orientation once, permanently, so the file reads and prints the right way up everywhere it goes.
You control how much of the document is affected. Turn every page at once when an entire scan came in rotated, or target a specific range like 1-3, 5 when only a few pages are off while the rest are fine. The three angles cover every case: 90° and 270° swap between portrait and landscape in either direction, and 180° flips a page that arrived completely upside down.
A useful detail is that the chosen angle is added to each page's existing rotation rather than replacing it. That means you can nudge a page that was already partly turned, or apply another quarter-turn if the first pass didn't go far enough, without starting over. Rotation changes only how a page is displayed: the underlying text, fonts, and images are left exactly as they were, so there is no re-scanning and no loss of quality.
The whole operation is handled by your own browser. The PDF is read locally, rotated in memory, and handed straight back for download, so a confidential scan or a photographed ID never travels across the internet to be processed.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Rotation happens entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Choose 'Specific pages' and enter the pages you want, such as 1-3, 5. The rest are left untouched.
Does rotation stack on already-rotated pages?
Yes. The chosen angle is added to each page's current rotation, so you can nudge pages that were already turned.
Will the file quality change?
No. Rotation only changes how each page is displayed; the underlying content is untouched, so there is no quality loss.
